Well folks what an incredible opening night for the degree show here at Game Art DMU!
We were excited to receive guest visits from a huge number of industry pros and Alumni from all sorts of companies. Tom Wicks joined us all the way from Rockstar North, Edinborough, looking for talent to work in the GTA series.
Jason Garlick joined us from Codemasters, Leamington. Ben Keeling was also in house to see student portfolios and give feedback. From Dambusters studio we had Max Mead and Bart Januskawitz. Blair Armitage joined us from Playground as did Anna Hollinrake of Paw Print Games. Shayleen Hulbert who has been working on Godus for 22 Cans made an appearance. We were also graced with a visit from Cameron Small character artist from Rocksteady Studios as well as Luc Fontenoy and Al Crutchly who have worked as concept artists for a variety of well-known studios.
Other highly notable guests joined us from Ubisoft Reflections studios in the shape of Mike Pickton, Dan Hargreaves and Liam McGlone.
It was such a great atmosphere, many thanks to everybody who made it!
All in all words barely scratch the surface, so let's let the pictures below do the talking...
